Primaluce Pizza and Wine Experience, with Lemoncello Tasting and Cheese Making

On our second day visiting Sorrento, Italy, we booked a tour with Primaluce, a farm nestled into the hills of Sorrento that boasts a beautiful vineyard along with citrus and olive groves, and a gorgeous view of the Gulf of Naples.

I’ve outlined our entire day below!

Morning

I booked this tour for our group of four through Viator. You can find the exact booking link here. We met at a parking garage in downtown Sorrento, where our tour guide, Francesco, split everyone off into groups to be taken to the farm. As I type this it sounds like we’re all about to be murdered, lololol. Anyway! The drive to the farm takes about 20 minutes. If you get car sick, take some anti-nausea meds beforehand because you’ll be traveling through a lot of switchbacks and winding roads!

Afternoon

Our tour started by Francesco walking us through the winery and explaining how the wine was made. Further along, we walked through the lemoncello and olive trees, before sitting down for the main event – pizza making!

One of the things I loved most about this tour was that it was family-run. Francesco’s daughter led us through the pizza making demonstration. She had so much personality and made the experience so memorable! Each couple/group had the chance to come up and toss their own pizza, add toppings, and pop it in the oven, where it cooked for only 30 seconds!

Once in our pizza coma, we had a lovely dessert and lemoncello to cleanse our palettes before indulging in some of the incredible wine, followed by a cheese-making demonstration by Francesco’s wife!

We had plenty of time to enjoy the fruits of our labor, explore the grounds, and learn all about the region or Sorrento. Once the tour was over, Francesco and his team drove us back to our meeting point and we said our farewells. Our group had such a great time. I highly recommend adding this specific tour to your itinerary if you’re in the area!
